Asthma Clinic

These clinics are run by Nurse McGonigle, under the supervision of Dr Walsh who has overall responsibility for Asthma care in the Practice.

Diabetic Clinic

Nurse McGonigle, Dr Gallagher and Dr O’Flaherty run this clinic. (Dr O’Flaherty and Dr Gallagher has overall responsibility for Diabetic care in the practice).

Cervical Smear Clinic

Nurse McGonigle runs clinics in the mornings and afternoons. Dr Walsh, Dr Corrigan & Dr McFaul have overall responsibility.

COPD (Chronic Bronchitis)

Nurse McGonigle runs this clinic.  Dr Walsh has overall responsibility for this clinic.

CHD (Coronary Heart Disease)

Nurse McGonigle runs this clinic.  Dr Mullan has overall responsibility.

Anti-Coagulation Monitoring

These clinics are run by our Health Care Assistants under the supervision of Dr Mullan. 

Hypertension

Dr Mullan is responsible for the management of hypertension.

Implanon Insertion

Dr Mullan and Dr Walsh has responsibility for this

IUCD (Coil) insertion

Dr Corrigan has responsibility for this.

Osteoporosis

Nurse McGonigle holds clinics under the supervision of Dr Corrigan who has overall responsibility.

Baby/Immunisation Clinic

Tuesday 1.30pm - 4.15pm

Minor Surgery

Is carried out by arranged consultation to deal with a variety of minor surgical problems which don’t require hospital referral.

Psychologist

Dr Mary Gallagher – Tele 71 384128 or 71 384114.  The Psychologist also provides care for neighbouring practices.

Over 75's Medical

Over 75’s are able to make an appointment to have an annual check-up, either at the surgery or at home.

Maternity Medical Services

Are provided by all the doctors in the practice.

Contraceptive Services

Are provided by all the doctors in the practice.

Child Health Surveillance

Services are provided by all the doctors in the practice.

Private Examinations

Certain services and examinations are not covered under the NHS and will attract a fee which has been recommended by the British Medical Association

Travel Vaccinations

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to collect a travel vaccine questionnaire from Reception. This needs to be completed and left back to Reception. This will then be passed to the practice nurse and we will then contact you to make an appointment to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.

It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.

Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
